Author and food, wine, and travel blogger Marlynn Jayme Schotland will travel almost anywhere at a moment’s notice, will eat/try almost anything once, and embodies the LIVE LOUDLY philosophy every day.

Marlynn has written two cookbooks with Rockridge Press: The Super Easy Teen Baking Cookbook and The Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker Meal Prep Cookbook. She is the founder and publisher of Urban Bliss Life, a food, wine, and travel site that she launched in 2004.

A first-generation Filipino-American, she enjoys sharing her passion for home cooking with fresh, simple ingredients, and share family favorite recipes and recipes inspired by her travels. She travels as often as possible around the world with her husband and their two children, ages 17 & 14.

Passionate about the wine industry, Marlynn also holds a WSET 2 Award with Distinction wine certification.

Currently she is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and the International Food, Wine, Travel Writers Association.

Before launching Urban Bliss Life, Marlynn worked as a communications executive, including work as a public relations director. Her career started as a broadcast journalist after earning her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications: Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Currently, Marlynn lives and works in the Portland, Oregon area with her husband, two children, and their lovable Lab Retriever.
